The depth of your experience at XCF is strictly up to you. You can show up, train, and leave. You can take it up a notch and ask a few questions while you are there to maybe get a little more out of your lifts. Maybe you want a little help with your diet so you decide to open that door. You might learn a few names and some personal information about some of the folks you train with and possibly show up to a happy hour. If you read that and thought “those guys do happy hour?!” That is evidence that there is still room for you to dig a little deeper with your training partners. I am not saying you have to. I am just inviting you to go a level deeper than you are presently are. Do you want to talk about sleep, your sweet tooth, your marriage, and how all three of those things are either helping you or hurting you on your way to the CrossFit games. Maybe you are just on your way to another annual physical and you don’t want to be on blood pressure medication any longer. We can help you with that. It is all connected and I love to help folks tease out the connections and make some incredible breakthroughs. We are all about making people strong. We are also all about making people generally better and anything, and I do mean anything, that can play a role in that quest is fuel for our fire. Ask a few more questions. Meet a few more people. Make yourself a little more open to the broader experience of fitness that I consider a lifestyle and you will be surprised by what comes back to you. I like to think of myself as a personal trainer not just because I do one on one training, but also because I get so damn personal with so many people. The stuff I get to hear these days might have made me pick a different profession when I was just starting out but now I know that the stuff folks share with me is a gateway to change that blows my mind on a regular basis. Go deeper. You won’t regret it.
